Govt's new rules may pave way for air taxis

India on Thursday notified a new set of liberal drone rules that could pave the way for these unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) soon carrying both goods for e-commerce and transporting people on air taxis. . “This (new) policy has been put in place under careful monitoring directly by the PM with trust (in users) as its basis and (to ensure) economic welfare of people,” K Vijay Raghavan, principal scientific advisor to the government said.​

IPL final likely to be postponed from Nov 8 to 10

The IPL governing council is contemplating postponing the date of the tournament’s final from Nov 8 to 10 and allow its stakeholders – especially broadcaster Star India – to make further use of the Diwali week. As schools reopen, government vows 2 crore extra vaccine doses for staff

As many states gear up to open physical schools, more than two crore additional doses of Covid vaccine will be made available to states this month, the Centre said urging states to vaccinate all school teachers on priority before Teachers' Day on September 5.
